Joan Didion has an article in the New York Review of Books this week on the Terri Schiavo case. It purports to be an even-handed "a plague on both your houses" sort of thing, but I suspect that Didion is leaning towards the Capulets on this one. As I've noticed with a lot of fence sitters who lean towards the Schindlers' viewpoint, Didion seems suspicious of Michael Schiavo's motivations and his eagerness to put Terri to rest so he could get on with his life.
