By Niall Hunter-Editor Public patients are not getting access to vital bone scanning which helps in the detection of osteoporosis, GPs have claimed. GPs at the annual meeting of the Irish College of General Practitioners in Galway slammed the lack of direct access for public patients to DEXA scans, which measure bone density. Dr Joe Martin, a GP in Rathmines in Dublin,said public patients have major problems in getting access to DEXA scanning. H
